Fluffy Ensemble by Carolyn Schmitz

In a stickery land, a desert cottontail snuggles into a wrap of fluff — acacia and desert fern, a cuff of creosote pods, a topping of velvetpod mimosa, mesquite, and baja red fairy duster. A milkweed pod exhales softly into the desert scrub. A scorpion tail earring is just one tiny needle among the blossoms.
