Kim Obrzut has cast bronze for over forty years and is among the first Hopi women to work in this medium. Raised in the Hopi culture, she was deeply influenced by her grandfather, a respected Kachina carver whose dedication to craftsmanship and tradition shaped her artistic foundation. Kim began in traditional Hopi pottery methods before turning to bronze as a lasting way to share her cultures’ stories. A Summa Cum Laude graduate of Northern Arizona University, she holds a BFA in sculpture and bronze casting. Her nationally recognized work balances contemporary form with spiritual and symbolic meaning and is held in museum and gallery collections across the United States.
